We had a cat who was dying (he had FLV) and we were pretty sure our tubby kitty was stealing his food. After he died, cat #3 (who had always been thin) suddenly gained a bunch of weight. Sick kitty was stealing cat #3's kibble, basically up to the day he died. One thing I can say for sure, though - your cats are loved, and lucky to have such good cat-parents. You never know.
